MCJVF update - Bob Penkala

What is the financial obligation, commitment and return on our involvement with MCJVF?

Michigan Collegiate Virtual Job Fair (MCVJF) for Co-op and Internships:
I attended a meeting at Oakland University on January 9, 2007 to discuss the support of MC-ICE and member organizations in a Virtual Job Fair specifically for Co-op, Internships and Summer Jobs. After the meeting I made several calls attempting to locate a technical support person for this job fair with no success. I had a marketing support person set at Macomb Community College but without the technical support person we could not proceed with hosting this job fair. As a result of that I contacted Bob Thomas at OU and let him know we would not be doing a separate co-op and internship VJF this year. He said they would include this with the General Virtual Job Fair and would still like me to serve as the Co-op and Internship contact person on the MCVJF Committee and liaison with MC-ICE. I agreed. My role will be to promote the VJF to all co-op and internship contacts and encourage their participation. I am developing a plan to do this at the present time. The MCVJF will be held April 9 -20, 2007 with registration beginning 3/19/07. I need your support and the involvement of your institution and employers. You will be hearing from me soon . Please call me if you have questions.

MI Co-op History committee status - Bob Penkala
  • What should the status of the Michigan co-op history committee be?
  • Do they want to evolve into the archive committee?
  • What is the deliverable goal of this committee?
